Omro hasn't had much luck against Laconia recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Foxes are taking a road trip to square off against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Omro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Omro not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2024. Everything went their way against St. Lawrence Seminary as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Foxes considering their two-run performance the game before.
Jake Hunter made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Hunter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, Bryce Loker was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Cade Sowls also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Laconia strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Ripon by a score of 6-2.
Laconia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Omro, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
