After soaring high against Thomas More Prep-Marian last Friday, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. Plainville fell to Smith Center 10-21. If Plainville were hoping to take revenge for the 0-51 loss against Smith Center the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
The loss dropped Plainville back to even at 2-2. The victory bumped Smith Center's record up to 3-1.
Next week Plainville take on Republic County . Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. As for Smith Center, they will face off against Oakley. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous games.
