Peyton Bailey Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Tivy got the W thanks in part to Peyton Bailey playing the best football he has all season. Bailey threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 55 yards.
Tivy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Bailey and Tivy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Alamo Heights at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Bernard Made His Presence Known in Victoria West's 50-33 Loss
While Victoria West might've come up empty on Friday, Tristan Bernard wasn't going down without a fight. Boerne had no answer to Bernard as he rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Bernard got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 65 yards.
Victoria West's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. Bernard's next matchup is against Harlandale on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

The second Boerne player making an appearance here is Hank Hendrix, and for good reason. He threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes.
