SouthWest Edgecombe found their leader in underclassman Kd Collins, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The contest was Collins' 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Moore, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
SouthWest Edgecombe is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Ayden - Grifton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
SouthWest Edgecombe will head out on the road to face off against Tarboro at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tarboro will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Ayden - Grifton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washington at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
