The Clint Lions won the last time they faced the Fabens Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Clint's way against Fabens as Clint made off with a 28-7 victory.
Clint can attribute much of their success to Colin Ivey, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Clint also got a significant boost from Zach Delgado, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
Clint's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Irvin and 3-6 Fabens (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.3% over those games). As for Fabens, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Clint will be playing at home against Monahans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Monahans is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Fabens, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
