Richland is a perfect 10-0 against Hanford since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bombers will face off against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Richland will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Richland is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Pasco on Thursday as they made off with a 22-0 victory. Give the Bombers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Sophia Sams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Payton Chacon was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Abby Gavin also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Richland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Ten must be Hanford's lucky number: they beat Walla Walla with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Falcons didn't even let the Blue Devils on the board, marking the Falcons' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.
Heidi Sweet was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Sweet was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Hanford let Kenzie Hofstad and Ava Whitish run wild. Hofstad scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Whitish scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Roberts, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Hanford's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Richland, their record is now 10-0.
Richland was able to grind out a solid victory over Hanford in their previous meeting on Tuesday, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
