Roosevelt is 2-8 against Carlson since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bears will welcome the Marauders at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Roosevelt comes in on three and Carlson on six.
On Monday, Roosevelt got the win against Edsel Ford by a conclusive 14-1. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Shaylan Gourlay made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Gourlay was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Chlipala was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jordan Passuth, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Roosevelt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .458 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Carlson hadn't done well against Trenton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Marauders walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Trojans.
Addison Butt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addison Skinner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Emilee Konkus was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
Carlson pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Roosevelt hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .414. However, it's not like Carlson struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Roosevelt's way against Carlson in their previous meeting back in April, as Roosevelt made off with a 13-7 victory. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
