Cleveland hasn't had much luck against McDaniel recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will welcome the Mountain Lions at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Cleveland put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-10 win over Grant. Considering the Warriors' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Jillian Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and eight unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Simone Chance was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Sara Cass was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
Cleveland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McDaniel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Ida B. Wells a 16-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mountain Lions' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
The team relied heavily on Kaylie Schmitz, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those runs were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Anderson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Cleveland's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for McDaniel, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Cleveland skirted past McDaniel 1-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mountain Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
