It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Slocomb had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Northside Methodist Academy Knights. The Red Tops' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Slocomb's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-17-1. As for Northside Methodist Academy, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Slocomb wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 loss against Providence Christian on the 28th. Northside Methodist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
