It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Garaway Pirates had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Rock Hill at home to the tune of 45-7. The victory was just business as usual for Garaway, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Dillon Soehnlen, who rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Ethan Kimble got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Garaway's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31 points. As for Rock Hill, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Garaway will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Knox at 7:00 p.m. East Knox will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Garaway is ranked 61st). Rock Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
