The Grand Valley Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Crestwood Red Devils at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Grand Valley has three straight victories, Crestwood has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Grand Valley earned a 42-35 win over Wickliffe.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Crestwood had to settle for a 35-32 loss against Berkshire on Tuesday. Crestwood has struggled against Berkshire recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Hannah Ward, who scored 8 points along with 5 blocks. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Brady, who scored 9 points.
Their wins bumped Grand Valley to 3-1 and Wickliffe to 3-1.
Grand Valley strolled past Crestwood in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 46-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
