Bolivar Central got a massive performance out of Aubrey Wells, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Wells a new career-high. Isabella Lax was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles.
Meanwhile, Haywood entered their tilt with Fayette Ware on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They didn't even let the Wildcats on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout.
The team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Smoot, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Samiah Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Haywood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bolivar Central's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Haywood, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
