The St. Andrew's Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Tatnall Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, St. Andrew's came up short against Sanford and fell 44-32. While losing is never fun, St. Andrew's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Sanford is ranked fifth).
Even though Tatnall has not done well against Tower Hill recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Tatnall narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Tower Hill 50-48.
St. Andrew's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Tatnall, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
St. Andrew's strolled past Tatnall in their previous meeting on Saturday by a score of 61-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Andrew's since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
