On Friday, Taos really took it to Cuba for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-44 win on the road. With that win, Taos brought their scoring average up to 63.5 points per game.
Taos' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lionel Salazar led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 9 rebounds. Yovani Urbano-Varela was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
The victory got Taos back to even at 1-1. As for Cuba, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
