The Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Pine Creek Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fountain-Fort Carson will be strutting in after a win while the Eagles will be coming in after a loss.
Fountain-Fort Carson came into Tuesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Rampart with a 45-39 win on Tuesday.
Fountain-Fort Carson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tre'sean Washington out in front who scored seven points along with seven assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Rivera, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pine Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 61-49 to Doherty. Pine Creek has struggled against the Spartans recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Fountain-Fort Carson's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Pine Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.
Fountain-Fort Carson and the Eagles were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but the Trojans came up empty-handed after a 58-57 loss. Thankfully for Fountain-Fort Carson, Mitch Murdock (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
