Softball Recap: Bethel Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bethel waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Phoebus Phantoms as they made off with a 17-7 victory. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.

Bethel pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Phoebus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coming up, Bethel will venture away from home to face off against Kecoughtan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Phoebus, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hampton at 4:30 p.m. The Phantoms are facing the Crabbers at the right time seeing as the Crabbers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
