Northwest is 2-8 against Pine Hill since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Northwest Falcons will be playing at home against the Pine Hill Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Northwest has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
Northwest suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-32 loss at the hands of Coronado. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwest in their matchups with Coronado: they've now lost five in a row.
Cliff typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Pine Hill proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 56-42 win over the Cowboys/Cowgirls.
It was another big night for Brett Baker, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Channing James, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Northwest's loss was their 14th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Pine Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.
Northwest was dealt a bruising 81-27 loss at the hands of Pine Hill in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Northwest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
