The Hillsborough Terriers lost against the Wharton Wildcats back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hillsborough fell 43-32 to Wharton. Hillsborough has not had much luck with Wharton recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Hillsborough's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Hernandez, who scored eight points. Destine Roman was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Wharton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.
Hillsborough won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Leto at 8:00 p.m. on January 24th. Leto will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Wharton will take on Sumner at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumner is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.9 points per game.
