Savage had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will be playing at home against Lambert/Richey at on Friday. Lambert/Richey will need to watch out since Savage have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
After flying high against Mandaree two weeks ago, Savage came back down to earth. Savage fell to Garfield County 35-44. That makes it the first time this season Savage have let down their home crowd.
Meanwhile, Lambert/Richey and Wibaux -- ranked 91st and 14th in the MaxPreps national rankings, respectively -- squared off in a high-profile contest. Lambert/Richey were dealt a punishing 16-56 defeat at the hands of Wibaux. The state rankings had actually given Lambert/Richey a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
