Comer hasn't had much luck against Childersburg recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Comer has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Comer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nema Holley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Holley's first of the season. Another was Kylie Harrison, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Madison Brooks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Taraji Jones was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Comer hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. However, it's not like Childersburg struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
