Softball Recap: Clyde Has No Trouble Against Perkins

Clyde never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Perkins Pirates. Considering the Fliers have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Clyde pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Perkins, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Clyde will face off against Willard at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Crimson Flashes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.13 runs per game on average), something the Fliers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Perkins, they will square off against Columbian at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
