After five games on the road, Red Cloud is heading back home. They will take on the Deshler Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Red Cloud has not done well against Kenesaw recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Red Cloud walked away with a 39-26 win over Kenesaw.
Red Cloud can attribute much of their success to Adelynn Minnick, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Deshler stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Giltner as Deshler made off with a 54-29 victory. Given Deshler's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Giltner is ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Red Cloud has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Deshler, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.
