Volleyball Recap: Seymour's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Seymour needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight matches and they got it from Megan Kirby. The Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lanphier Lions 2-1 for which the team can thank Kirby, who had 12 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Loss or not, Lanphier got some senior leadership from Alaina Sinks and Raeann Bounds. Sinks had 11 digs and three aces, while Bounds had five digs and three aces.

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Lanphier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.

Coincidentally, Seymour and Lanphier will both be playing Marquette Catholic the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Explorers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
