The Great Oak Wolfpack's's game on Thursday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of King by a score of 50-48. Great Oak was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as King apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Friday.
King's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mathias Tinker, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. The contest was Tinker's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Davis, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Great Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for King, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Great Oak's road trip will continue as they head out to face Redlands at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for King, they will be playing at home against Murrieta Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Murrieta Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully King likes a good challenge.
