The Grove City Christian Eagles had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Patriot Prep Academy 45-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Grove City Christian has posted since December 1, 2023.
Grove City Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Vanzuiden out in front who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Smith, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Grove City Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5. As for Patriot Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grove City Christian will take on Wellington School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wellington School is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Patriot Prep Academy, Patriot Prep Academy and Ohio School for the Deaf will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
