Lubbock suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-40 loss at the hands of Lubbock-Cooper. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Lubbock has suffered against Lubbock-Cooper since January 26, 2021.
Meanwhile, Abilene was beaten by Monterey 81-30 on Tuesday. Abilene was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-19.
Lubbock has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Abilene, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.
Lubbock couldn't quite finish off Abilene when the teams last played on January 2nd and fell 49-47. Can Lubbock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
