After a string of four wins, the Sotomayor Wolves's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marquez. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Marquez got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamont White Jr out in front who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elyjah Staples, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Sotomayor's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-11. As for Marquez, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Sotomayor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marquez also has no future games currently scheduled.
