Loch Raven is 3-0 against the Knights since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Loch Raven Raiders will be playing at home against the Parkville Knights at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Loch Raven is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Knights in Maryland (the Raiders are ranked 66th, while the Knights are ranked 218th).
After a string of three wins, Loch Raven's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Point.
Despite their defeat, Loch Raven saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Maya Gordon, who scored 13 points, was perhaps the best of all. Meona Boykin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Parkville had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Friday against Dundalk by the margin of a single free throw, 21-20.
Loch Raven's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Parkville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.
Everything came up roses for Loch Raven against the Knights when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 73-25 win. With Loch Raven ahead 47-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
