The Grafton Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Greenbrier East Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Grafton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Grafton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Liberty on the road to the tune of 75-31. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Grafton can attribute much of their success to Kenna Keener, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds, and Hadley Horne, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Horne is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Kambree Delaney, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Greenbrier East faced Princeton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Greenbrier East strolled past Princeton with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 66-51. The victory was familiar territory for Greenbrier East who now have three in a row.
Grafton's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Greenbrier East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
