Selinsgrove is a perfect 10-0 against Milton since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Seals will take on the Black Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Selinsgrove had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Midd-West on Monday. The Seals blew past the Mustangs 12-1. The Seals haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Riley Romig made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Griffin Parker, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Jonathan Neidig was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Selinsgrove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Milton came into Monday's match having lost 15 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Jersey Shore with a sharp 14-4 win on Monday. The Black Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Brayden Gower made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Gower was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Brady Wolfe was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Dominic Lytle, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Selinsgrove's record is now 5-12. As for Milton, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-15.
Everything went Selinsgrove's way against Milton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Selinsgrove made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
