Greenwood is 0-10 against Andrews since February of 2020 but things could change on Monday. Greenwood will welcome Andrews at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
On Friday, Greenwood earned a 9-4 win over Fort Stockton.
Addison Arredondo made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Arredondo was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Greenwood let Brylee Savage and Mae Savage run wild. Brylee went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Mae scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Those four RBI gave Brylee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Berkley Jenkins, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Andrews sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Monahans on Friday.
Kylie Gentile tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lauren Cordova, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Andrews pushed their record up to 20-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Greenwood, the win got them back to even at 12-12-1.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Greenwood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Andrews struggles in that department as they've averaged .387. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Greenwood couldn't quite finish off Andrews in their previous meeting two weeks ago and fell 10-8. Will Greenwood have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
