The St. Mary's Academy Crusaders were the 59-48 winner over the Metro Academy Mavericks when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. St. Mary's Academy was the victim of a tough 56-32 defeat at the hands of Metro Academy on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why St. Mary's Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nick Whitehead . Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Metro Academy, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF the next time they take the court. Metro Academy will head out to face Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Mary's Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
