After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Norman, the West Cabarrus Wolverines were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against A.L. Brown by a score of 50-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Cabarrus also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, A.L. Brown still got an impressive performance from Sadie Faulkner, who scored 20 points. Ayanni Flood was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
West Cabarrus has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for A.L. Brown, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Cabarrus will take on Mooresville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Cabarrus is facing Mooresville at the right time seeing as Mooresville is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for A.L. Brown, they will be playing at home against South Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in North Carolina (A.L. Brown is ranked 260th, while South Iredell is ranked 277th).
