Avery McDaniel gave up the fewest walks she has since back in March on Thursday. She made a splash, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Fairmont Senior back in March of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. McDaniel has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
