The Salem Hills Skyhawks will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wasatch Wasps at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Salem Hills pushed their score all the way to 73 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spanish Fork. That's two games in a row now that Salem Hills has lost by exactly ten points.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chase Degraffenried, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Hable, who scored 15 points.
Wasatch suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 68-46 defeat at the hands of Cedar Valley. Wasatch has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Salem Hills' defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-8. As for Wasatch, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Salem Hills strolled past Wasatch in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 71-57. Will Salem Hills repeat their success, or does Wasatch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
