Bailey O'Brien made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. O'Brien was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Hart and Mckenna Sullivan did most of the damage at the plate: Hart went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI, while Sullivan went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. Those RBI were Hart's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shyanne Kilmer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.
Klahowya was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
Vashon Island's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Klahowya, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
