On Thursday, things could have been worse for Lincoln Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-31 loss to Memorial. While losing is never fun, Lincoln Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Memorial is ranked 46th).
Memorial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Johnson, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks. Johnson also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Fabian Harris, who scored 14 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Memorial, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Lincoln Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Cascia Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Collinsville at 8:30 p.m. on January 19th.
