The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs won the last time they faced the West Union Dragons, and things went their way on Monday too. Lynchburg-Clay simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Union 70-18 at home. With that win, Lynchburg-Clay brought their scoring average up to 54.3 points per game.
Lynchburg-Clay can attribute much of their success to Jade Massey, who scored 20 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds. Massey is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Addison West was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Lynchburg-Clay now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynchburg-Clay will square off against Unioto at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Unioto's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. West Union's road trip will continue as they head out to face Western at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th.
