Walter McKown posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
