The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes won the last time they faced the Christian Heritage Academy Knights, and things went their way on Monday too. Timberlake Christian walked away with a 55-44 victory over Christian Heritage Academy.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Mason, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Nick Arrington was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Timberlake Christian's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timberlake Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lynchburg HomeSchool at 4:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Lynchburg HomeSchool presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Timberlake Christian in Virginia (Lynchburg HomeSchool is ranked 185th, while Timberlake Christian is ranked 375th). Christian Heritage Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Southwest Virginia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
