The Christian Community Colts entered their tilt with the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Christian Community took down West Florida Baptist Academy 56-39 on Friday. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 25 to 7 on the offensive boards, as Christian Community did.
Christian Community got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was A.C. Caverly out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Graham, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Despite the defeat, West Florida Baptist Academy had strong showings from Olivia Pearce, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Addison Johnson, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Johnson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
Christian Community's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Christian Community and Horizon Christian Academy will face off at 12:00 p.m. on January 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Horizon Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three matches. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, West Florida Baptist Academy and South Haven Christian will face off at 9:00 p.m. on January 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully South Haven Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.
