Uintah hasn't had much luck against Ridgeline recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Uintah Utes will head out on the road to square off against the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Uintah is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-31 victory over Stansbury.

Kenadie Maughan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 18 rebounds. She has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Bake, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.
Uintah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Ridgeline put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Mountain Crest for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-29 win. Given the Riverhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Mustangs are ranked 33rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Uintah better keep an eye on Emilee Skinner. She was instrumental in Ridgeline's win, almost dropping a double-double with 41 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Skinner has scored at least a third of Ridgeline's points. Makaydi Jenks was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 16 points along with five assists and five steals.
Ridgeline pushed their record up to 24-0 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points over those games. As for Uintah, their record now sits at 11-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Uintah has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Ridgeline struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Uintah took a serious blow against Ridgeline when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 62-24. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Uintah was down 34-11.
