Meanwhile, Priory struggled with assists on Tuesday (King's Academy had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The game between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Priory falling 65-48. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 684th, while King's Academy is ranked 191st).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Teddy Xanthopoulos, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five blocks. That's the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Michael Hildebrandt was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Crystal Springs Uplands' win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Priory, they bumped their record down to 7-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Crystal Springs Uplands was taken down by Priory 74-31 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Crystal Springs Uplands, Clint Smith (who scored 21 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
