Winning is just a little bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 20% better than the opposition, a fact South Ripley proved on Tuesday. They came out on top against North Decatur by a score of 48-35. The win was all the more spectacular given South Ripley's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while North Decatur is ranked 126th).
South Ripley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Morgan Brightwell led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Franklin, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rising Sun beat South Dearborn 47-42 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rising Sun.
The win got South Ripley back to even at 4-4. As for Rising Sun, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.
South Ripley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rising Sun in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 42-38 win.
