Cedar Vale/Dexter has gone a perfect 10-0 against Udall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Spartans will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Cedar Vale/Dexter knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Udall likes a good challenge.
16 must be Cedar Vale/Dexter's lucky number: they beat Sedan with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Spartans beat the Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Gracie Webb was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Webb was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Zoe Davidson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Kylee Bragg also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Cedar Vale/Dexter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Udall hadn't done well against Oxford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 9-6.
Like Cedar Vale/Dexter, Udall also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Robinson. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Robinson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
Robinson wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Liberty Mason, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Criscenda Eilers was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Cedar Vale/Dexter's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Udall, their record now sits at 2-0.
Cedar Vale/Dexter took their win against Udall when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-6 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
