LaBelle is 0-8 against Mariner since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls will be playing at home against the Mariner Tritons at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Mariner will be up against a hot LaBelle team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. LaBelle came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Riverdale.
Kaleb Mclymont looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because LaBelle is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, LaBelle let Lonnie Campos and Beau Collier run wild. Campos scored a run while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances, while Collier went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave Collier a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijah Williams, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple.
Meanwhile, Mariner never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Estero 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tritons.
The result came thanks to Kelan Jamison's shutout, as he gave up just six hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Mariner's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Donald (DJ) Dwire, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Mariner's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for LaBelle, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
LaBelle might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Mariner in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will LaBelle have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
