After losing to the Jim Thorpe Olympians the last time they met, the Panther Valley Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Panther Valley blew past Jim Thorpe, posting a 67-35 victory on the road. Given Panther Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Jim Thorpe is ranked 642nd), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chase Weaver was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Buyce, who scored 12 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Panther Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Jim Thorpe, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

As for Jim Thorpe, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Saucon Valley at 12:30 p.m. on December 9th.
