The Northland Lutheran Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Port Edwards Blackhawks at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Northland Lutheran is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Northland Lutheran has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 33 points or more this season. They blew past Marion, posting a 49-13 win at home. The victory was just what Northland Lutheran needed coming off of a 66-22 defeat in their prior contest.
Josslin Adams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Rachel Schmidt, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Port Edwards, who are still winless after their eighth match. They fell 46-34 to Nekoosa on Thursday. Port Edwards has struggled against Nekoosa recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Northland Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Port Edwards, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Northland Lutheran against Port Edwards in their previous meeting last Tuesday as the squad secured a 53-16 victory.
