Briggs has gone a perfect 10-0 against Walnut Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bruins will challenge the Scots at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Briggs has nine straight victories, Walnut Ridge has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Briggs' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over West. Considering the Bruins have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Brailyn Hernandez made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Briggs' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Walnut Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Briggs skirted past Walnut Ridge 5-4 in their previous meeting on April 2nd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
