AA Region VII recap Oct. 30, 2012
Timberland extended the longest winning streak in AA Region VII this week by beating Lee Central, 44-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Timberland took down the Stallions 44-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Lake Marion's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Deriante Jenkins threw for 413 and two touchdowns and Mike Williams had 186 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Brown chipped in 123 yards. Brown helped Lake Marion's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 93 yards.
The Gators' Jenkins and Williams have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jenkins has thrown for 2954 yards this season, while Williams, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 50 catches for 1230 yards. Andrews's Jaleel Filmore leads the league in rushing yards with 869.
Arthur Craig's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on Lee Central.
